The history of the Japanese language is so old, originating from a language used among farmers in ancient Japan about ten thousand years ago. From late 4th century, rice farming, iron making, and Chinese Kanji were brought from China. After that, Hiragana and Katakana were developed, and they are thought to have been foundation of modern Japanese language. These days, changes in pronunciation, word omission, new neologisms, and loanword derived Katakana etc. have continuously emerged, the language that continues to evolve even now.
